Siklotron Laboratories (M) and Medi Radio Malaysia extend their heartiest congratulations to the Pusat Kanser Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (PKTAAB), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on its official launch by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, and its vision to become a world-class international cancer reference center. As committed partners in nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals, and advanced oncology solutions, both organizations celebrate PKTAAB’s acquisition of cutting-edge therapeutic technologies that are poised to revolutionize cancer care across Malaysia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The strategic renaming of the Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (IPPT) to PKTAAB honors the enduring legacy of the late former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. With this milestone, the facility is solidly positioned to become a premier international hub for cancer treatment, pioneering research, and academic training.

As key collaborators in radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine infrastructure, Siklotron Laboratories (M) look forward to significantly deepening their strategic partnership with PKTAAB. This collaborative effort will focus on several core pillars to advance the local oncology ecosystem:

Education & Seminars: Organizing specialized seminars to advance knowledge on cutting-edge radiopharmaceuticals and next-generation theranostics.

Academic Integration: Incorporating advanced nuclear medicine training directly into Master's programs to nurture the next generation of Nuclear Medicine Physicians.

Research & Development: Driving joint R&D initiatives to discover innovative molecular imaging and therapeutic pathways.

Clinical Trials: Facilitating robust clinical trials to bring breakthrough cancer therapies safely to patients in need.

By combining PKTAAB’s world-class clinical capabilities—including Southeast Asia's first Linear Accelerator (LINAC) EVO and Malaysia's first Radiative Hyperthermia machine—with an uninterrupted supply of innovative radiopharmaceuticals, this partnership will firmly solidify PKTAAB's position as a regional center of excellence and a premier referral hub for advanced cancer care.
